                                     Past simple - Past continuous


1.      Copy examples a-d. Underline the past continuous  verbs forms and circle the past simple forms.

a)      My sister was wearing her pink trousers when I got up this morning.

      2. Choose the correct verb forms.

     4. Read the following text and complete it with the correct form of the verb. Use the past  simple or past continuous tense.



A few weeks ago, my friend (1) ... (phone) me while I (2) ... (watch) a football match between FC Barcelona and FC Real Madrid. He (3) ... (work), but he (4) ... (want) a photo of the football players and the fans at the match, so I (5) ... (use) the camera on my phone. I like pictures of fans, since they are colourful and noisy. Apart from this, their behaviour is sometimes very amusing. In this match, Barcelona (6) ... (score) a very beautiful goal in the first half, and the fans (7) ... (celebrate).
